I am happy to announce that the vBookie froum is now up and running. For those of you not familiar with the system, this thread should provide you with a better understanding.

vCash: As you may have noticed, you now have 500 vCash. You will see this under your post count and avatar on posts. vCash has no real value. It only allows you to bet on events here on The Garnet Spur. Winning bets will increase you vCash and losing bets will result in the loss of your wadger.

Placing Bets: I will begin listing upcoming sporting events in this forum. To place a bet, view the thread just like any other. At the top you will see an area to make a wadger. You can bet as much as you would like, but only bet once unless otherwise noted.

Winning/Losing Bets: After the event is over, I will settle the bet. This should occur within 24 hours of the event ending. If you bet on the winning team you will earn a designated amount of vCash. This amount is determined by the odds of winning and the amount of vCash bet. If you bet on the losing team, you will lose whatever you wadgered.

This week since several games are already underway, I will only be listing late afternoon and evening games. Also, since I too am new to the system I will make all bets "straight up" this week. Basically this means you pick who wins. It does not matter how much they win by etc. This should provide a chance to test out the system. Later we can make the bets and odds more realistic.
