Now, you know how last year, SOS was all about changing the mindset of SCAR from beating Clemson, to trying to focus on winning the SEC right? Well, thats all good for the team. Nothing against it, and also how he wanted everyone to wear "Garnet on Gamedays," also cool! No problem with it, but I have hear a thought, for a movement for just the fans only... This started when I saw pictures of the infamous billboard in Columbia from those Clemson Classacts, and it got me thinking about how to change the mindset back to our original goal to beat clemson year in and year out... And I was thinking about this, and I think it can work, for us, and it may even trickle down to the coaches and players alike... now this is just a thought, and I would love to take it and see how far it can go of course... How would it look to have t-shirts, stickers, banners, and what not made that just simply and powerfully says, "END CLEMSON" ? What do you guys think? It would definately fuel the fire of wanting to defeat them in any sport, it doesnt matter if it is in equestrian... I just want to see Clemson defeated in all facets, and the only way to do that is to show the coaches as a fan base what we want with a powerful yet simple statement like "END CLEMSON." Let me know what you think guys. GO COCKS!

There is one other thing that could be done that would show coaches of ALL the sports programs just how serious the rivalry needs to be. You, nor I, can make this change occur, but if fans as a collective whole would push the envelope we could get the adminitsration to make this happen.
What is it you may ask?
It's something as simple as giving a nice cash bonus written into coaches contracts for beating Clemson. They already receive cash bonuses for things like making it to a bowl game, winning the bowl, etc.... How hard, yet powerful, would it be if our administration gave our coaches a big bonus for every win against Clemson each year?
And the crazy thing is, it would be something as easy as a small agreement written into their respective contracts as they are renewed.....
lol you have got a point... and that is SO true... If it was in contract for them to have that incentive, it would be a year round celebration in Columbia, and instead of a "freak occurance." Like my mom always says, "Nothing beats a failure, but a try." So with that said, asking Mr. Hyman... or however you spell his name to try to work that in, wouldnt hurt... But I do like what you said, and I am still getting the t-shirts made for me. and hopefully a friend could catch on, and a friend of a friend, can tell a friend who knows somebody to start selling those shirts only for the big week and what not... that would be awesome! but just dreaming right now. lol Well lets start asking Mr. AD himself to see what he thinks. GO COCKS!!!

As a UGA fan I'd take a loss to both Florida and Georgia Tech, if in return we were the SEC champs. The rivalry games occur every season. Not every season do you win a conference championship though.

I would have the same say and feeling about loosing to clemson if they actually had better colors, but I would rather defeat the enemy than win any championship. I dont care if it means the end of the world, to beat your rival, and looking back, as seldom as he have over the years, means the world to us Gamecock fans. just like yall beating florida, felt like youre on top of the world didnt it? We have been through this song and dance act with some of the greatest players to grace our campus, and yall have to... its just a matter of time for us to break the trend... just like it was a matter of time for yall to dominate over Georgia Tech. I, and a lot of us devoted gamecocks, wants to reign over Clemson... and this is the time to do so... the heartache must end, even if it means no championship. beat the rivals, those instate kids want to come play for the winners. bigger better stronger right? thats what I want. thats what we ALL want. So if it means no championship, cool. but to beat the rivals, priceless. GO COCKS!
Im not mad at anyone, im just expressing my wants strongly.

I guess its just a difference in opinion but I'd take a championship over a rivalry win almost any day; especially in the SEC. A championship = many wins. A rivalry win = 1 win.
