I'm not going to make it a practice to blog every time Darrin Horn sneezes near a recruit, but it's been a week since we checked in on basketball and, after all, this is Stalking Darrin Horn. So ...Our friend Phil Kornblut - and he is our friend, despite his Yankee allegiances - reported a couple days ago that forward Keith Clanton of Orlando remains on South Carolina's radar. Clanton told Kornblut that he spoke to Horn on Tuesday, and is in close contact with lead assistant Scott Cherry.According to his Rivals.com profile, Clanton is 6-foot-7 and 210 pounds, which sounds right in the wheelhouse for the Horn offense. He has offers from Miami, South Florida, Virginia, Butler and Central Florida.USC's lone commitment for the current senior class is 6-foot-7 swingman Lakeem Jackson, a kid from Charlotte who Rivals currently ranks No. 139 in the country. The Gamecocks have at least three scholarships available for next year, and four if Robert Wilder returns to walk-on status for 2009-10.Horn and his staff appear to be looking to fill those slots, but only with quality players. Don't expect them to sign three or four guys just for the sake of it.
