Smith Sticking With Plans, Williams Is Not
WR DeAngelo Smith (6-0 180) of Kingsland, GA and WR Eric Williams (5-11 185) of Bradenton, FL both planned to attend USC's camp Friday. Smith is still coming, Williams is not.
Smith will be coming with his cousin, not his mother as originally planned. But, he is still planning to commit to the Gamecocks while in Columbia. "I talked to coach Spurrier Jr. last week and told him about my plans," Smith said Wednesday night. Williams, who talked with recruiter David Reaves Wednesday, said he won't be able to make the camp. For that matter, he's not been to any camps this summer. Williams continues to favor the Gamecocks over Marshall, Ole Miss, Middle Tennessee State, Troy and UAB.
